I'm going to buy a 9105 to use with my Orange contract. I have blackberry plan so I know that will be fine, what I'm not sure about is UMA. Do I need an Orange branded handset for UMA to work or will it be work fine if I buy an unlocked handset?

Nope, it works fine with unbranded/unlocked handsets too. I haven't tried UMA on a pearl 9105 so not sure how well/if it works with that model though.

To add the UMA settings to a non-orange handset you first have to unlock the engineering screens. Guide here: http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/adva...et-use-512322/
