Okay, lemme explain this first, The Pearl, Curve and bold from AT&T all have this little annoying voice that loves to announce when your coverage comes back, NOW, inside a concrete building such as oh let's say a Jail (on the good side of the bars, not the locked down side) and in a training class, ya really don't need that going off, SO how do you shut it off, and still keep the phone on?

my Pearl 8110 does this too. annoying as ****. i'll check back in case anyone has an answer

I have a 8110 from att and have never had this issue.

Got this from another site and it solved my co-workers problem with the annoying voice.

Yes, you have left running in the background your GPS application such as TeleNav or ATT Navigotor. Close that application, or simply with the BB powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds, replace and reboot, and you will be good.

and yep her nav was open and it was also causing her battery drain...
