my 8100 went into a boot loop cycle and i did as the post said but after the 3rd time it still would not boot properly or if it did the main screen would show for a minute then go back in to the boot loop cycle. it dosen't show up in desktop manager, i tried wiping it with one program, still i am not able to get it to work I will try again tonight. if anyone has any suggestions i would really appreciate it.

No, more a problem of 3rd party apps/themes. I'm on an 8100 and it works great. Switch to a preloaded theme and see how it works.

IDK. When they said it worked fine when USB'd, I immediately thought theme problem.

Water damage indicator. One on the device and one on the battery. Changes from white to pink when it gets wet.

when you take the battery out it should be on the "top" (upper) wall of the battery housing, most likly on the right hand side.
