Ok so on the nokia i was using before i could see the total time for all calls made separate from the total time of all received calls. On my Blackberry Pearl 8120 ( which i love ) i can only see the total talk time ( received and made calls together).

Is it possible for me to see them separately???

Go to messages > press menu > view folder > call logs. If you click on each call it will give you the call duration.
