    whenever i get a text, my screen does not light up it just plays my song notification. how do i make my screen light up?
    and/or show a picture of the person texting me?

    Try the Sms Display On application, this lights up the screen when a text comes.

    There is a 3rd party app that will make your screen light up when you get a text. Look in the crackberry software store .

    Get BBLight. I have it, you can set it to turn on your backlight when ever you get a text, email, etc.

    You may want to try BB Light first as it is free I think.
