I think the phone will be great but the idea of a new 2 year contract does not sit well with me so i was just wondering especially being on the site with the most crackberry addicts how much do you guys beleive the retail price will be? i mean can the phone cost more than the 8100 did when it was brand spanking new? also what was the price of the pearls when they were new? well hopefully it wont be that much but i wouldnt mind paying full price
    Thanks in advance

    I'm gonna guess $349 w/o contract.

I completely agree with Tequila.... why would you spend that much money on a phone that has less features then the 9700...

If att is release the 9700 @ $150 (with 2yr contract)... they should be selling the 9100 for a max of $99 (2yr) and maybe $250-300 flat out...

Who said anything about the 9100 having less features then the 9700?

Well, from a marketing standpoint, it's probably placed at the bottom of the group: Pearl > Curve > Bold/Tour (with the Storm somewhere near and around the Bold depending on who you talk to). Regardless of it's actual capabilities - especially since, if all reports hold true, the new Pearl will have the same basic operational features as the Bold. The only real differences being merely physical (including keyboard type and actual screen size).

I think a full qwerty keyboard is a huge feature! Its the only reason I want the 9100, because it doesn't have one! My 9k is too wide and I worry about it too much when I go out and party!
