    I'm sure I've just overlooked the setting somewhere, but is there someway to turn off the Standby Mode prompt?

    Currently, if I hold the mute button, I will have to select "OK" on a prompt before it will enter standby mode.

    Thanks in advance for the help.

    Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I tested the 8130 out today at a Verizon store. I have an 8830 and that's one of the first things I noticed. HOW ANNOYING!! I actually ordered the 8130 and assumed there was some way to remove the prompt. I hope there is!!

    it is so ******** annoying! I know why i pressed the button, i don't need to be reminded every time that it is going into standby... it's not like you could by accident press that button anyway!

    I'm pretty sure it is to prevent accidental presses. I often push the top when I put it in or take it out of the holster.

    *boggle* I don't get asked....it just tells me it's going into Suspend, then it goes. Maybe it's a Pearl thing?

    Not sure how annoyed you are by this or how far you're willing to go to get rid of it, but if you're willing to load the Telus software on your phone, you can get rid of the warning.

    So then this is clearly just an 8130 problem..

    Verizon = 4.3.0.60
    Telus = 4.3.0.65
    Bell = 4.3.0.66
    Sprint = 4.3.0.71

    Maybe Verizon will roll out a new version soon? or a patch?

    Definitely a VZ Pearl-only issue. Glad I found this thread as it's the one thing, so far (two days in) that's a "con" of my Pearl over my 8830.

    I realize you asked this question a while back so you prob know by now that yes, a number have folks have upgraded to the .65 or .71 OS. Definitely IMO a worthwhile upgrade. Waiting now for the Alltel .81 OS to be released.
