If anyone is looking for a great holster for the Pearl I found a great one at BlackberryDen.com. The holster is by SEIDIO and is made of a rubberized plastic. The thing I like most about the holster is that you could set a function on the Pearl to automatically answser the phone as soon as you pull it out of the holster and end the call as soon as you put it back in the holster. I wonder if the 8800 will have this feature.

I think this is the Pearl One - it's listed in the CrackBerry store (though it temporarily looks out of stock! must be popular).

I'm sure they'll have it for the 8800 soon. Maybe i'll email Seidio and find out what their plans are.

I'm sure Seidio will have one out pretty soon. They were quick with getting accessories for the 8100 out.

I also ordered the Seidio Swivel Clip for my Pearl and love the case. It fits very snug, but not too snug and is easy to get in an out of the case. Swivels easy and has the sleeper function that works great.

I recommend it to anyone looking for a case that will make it easy to get the phone out and yet keep the phone secure while not in use.

The standard leather Blackberry holster enables the auto answer/hangup feature as well (it is actuated by a magnet in the lining of the holster). You just need to make sure your settings have that feature enabled. The Pearl has this feature, as did my 8700, and I'm guessing most other models. The setting can be adjusted individually for in holster and out of holster in the general phone settings.

Seidio has announced that one should be ready for the 8800 within a week.

So THAT is how this works. I was wondering how the phone could tell if it was in a holster or not. I am still confused a bit, but thanks for explaining.

Kinda like that refridgerator door light? Does it stay on when the door is shut?????? I still remember figuring that one out when I was about 7.

Just to add another testimonial about the 8100 Seidio holster clip...i love mine as well. Probably the only holster clip that I've ever bought (I usually get hip pouches / clips / holsters for free), but by sure the best one that I've ever used.

FYI, I don't have a Pearl case--just a regular old girly case that I bought for another phone--and my Pearl does the same thing.....sleeps when in case, wakes up when out, answers phone when I pull it.
