Whenever I answer a call, it seems to go to speakerphone for a couple seconds. It's very loud and you can clearly hear what the caller is saying without putting the phone up to your ear. It's very brief...it goes back to normal volume and you need the phone up to your ear to hear after a couple seconds. Can someone help me please?! I don't want it to do that anymore....

Try updating your OS to get rid of the speaker blast (that is the problem you are having) to http://forums.crackberry.com/f79/new...evices-216138/. Just make sure you delete the vendor.xml file so it will load onto your device

my girlfriend has exactly the same problem on her pink 8110, and that is running the latest 8110 OS i could find here..
can i load the 8130 OS on it?

I've noticed that same thing. also there seems to be a delay from when I hit answer to when I can actually hear the person.

sounds like this speaker blast. the fix (from what I'm reading) is to upgrade software.

i don't know about you but i love an actual qwerty keyboard. upgrading to a different phone is ur best bet, only if you have that option. i had a phone w3ith sure type and now have an 8350i much better
