My speaker bit the dust. It will work on loud speaker but not at a normal private call volume level. It did this a couple of weeks ago and I took it apart and made sure the connection tabs were good. That seemed to have fixed it until this weekend and it did it again.

I popped it apart again to check things out with no change in performance. I was working on reloading the firmware but I'm unsure whether that will affect it or not.

Any Ideas or suggestions? I hate to blow money on a new one when it's only something minor (I think)

Since you got it working once already playing with the connectors, I would presume it's still a connection issue. I know speakers are readily available many places on the web, and inexpensive. You might want to try replacing it, if your good with a solder gun. Otherwise it's probably a $40 repair, which isn't to bad.
