I'm looking for a battery door that would cover the camera on my pearl 8130 (amethyst color from alltel). I have searched a little bit on the forums and google but haven't found anything promising. Anyone else happen to find one? Please let me know!

Thought about tape but that would be obvious that I'm hiding something. Plus I would hate to get tape all over my brand new berry!

I bought an extra cover, epoxied over the hole for the camera mirror and flash and taped it off sanded it smooth then spay painted the area. Looks good, I eventualy drilled a small hole for the flash because I like to use it as a flashlight in a pinch.

And note that If you are trying to hide the camera in a building or business that does not allow a camera (such as many federal courthouse and federal agencies, etc.) you risk losing it.

But if you find one, please post it here, I may want one also. haha

I have a skin on mine, the thin rubberized one, was thinking of your problem, I thought hmmm.... so I turned the skin around and put it on backwards, voila!
Camera hidden, it fits great, looks like it belongs that way, and the camera cut out lines up with the charging terminals on the back. The cut out for the strap lines up with the earplug jack. Quick, easy, and a snap to change back. Anyone with one give it a try!

I may be dense about this, but why exactly would one want to hide/block the BB camera?

but if you weren't actually trying to take a pic with it, how would they know you had a camera on it?

Around here (MN) areas of Federal buildings require you to put your things in a small bin then pass through a metal detector. Therefore a slight glance would betray your camera-fied BlackBerry. Now with a solid door...

so lay it screen side up besides I'm sur that some of those lawyers and judges that work there maybe carry bb's to, what do they do to them, take there phone away

mostly this applies to visitors, if you work at a place they don't check your things. as for screen side up, if not having a camera is a policy i'm sure they would turn it over if they were competent.
