hey guys just got an amazing deal and got the 8220 but umm when i txt say i type welcome when i'm done typing its still going very laggy so i'm like maybe theres an update i currently have 4.6.0.174i'm with rogers and apparently thats there latest but i see a stick of one thats 4.6.0.236 why can't i download that i'm so confused thanks guys
Describe your problem a little more clearly. What part of the download process doesn't work for you? Do you click the blue link, go to the 8220 smartphone, press the blue link "download", enter your name, and then start your download?
well see i go to the rogers software blackberry site thing and the latest is the one i have installed but on this forum it says that there .236 but can i use it on my rogers phone?
You will be able to use a NON Rogers OS if you DELETE THE VENDOR.XML file.
When loading an OS follow THESE instructions EXACTLY.
Use the link in the sticky to download the OS .236.
If you have doubts about doing this, DO NOT ATTEMPT. You are better off keeping .174 from rogers. However, if you feel that you can safely complete all the steps exactly, than go ahead.
