On my old Q if you press call from a text message it would call the text sender.

I have tried this a couple of times forgetting this.

Is there a way to call the person who sent you the text directly from said text? I looked in "menu", but didn't see a call sender or contact.

Scroll up to their name and then press the trackball, you should see the option.

I also have a 8130 from VZW & if I have a text open and hit the BB menu button, it gives me the option to call the person. Its underneath the delete option. Hope this helps.

for me, i scroll up to their name & press the green call button.
