    I'm running OS 4.5.131 on my pearl. When I try and pull up the symbols menu there is a pretty extreme delay. Usually 3 - 5 seconds. I am wondering if anyone else running this OS or any other OS have this problem. I don't recall it happening before I upgraded OS and it has no connection to how much memory my phone has.

    It makes choosing symbols very difficult because going from page one of the symbols to page 2 takes just as long.

    Does anyone have any ideas? I think there is another OS upgrade, and I'll do that if it will fix this problem.

    The only time that happens to me is with some themes.
    Are you using a 3rd party (non stock) theme?

    Yep, I was! I switched to one of the stock themes and the symbols came up just fine! Thanks. ^_^
