how do i transfer contact to my sim card on an 8120, i have read that you have to do it individually by going to address book, placing cursor over contact then hitting view, then hitting menu then scrolling to the option move to sim, but the option move to sim is not one of the options available or doesnt show up on my phone, i have an 8120 pearl on t-mobile any help would be great!

You need to highlight the PHONE NUMBER in the contact.

Note that only the contact name and the phone number will be copied to the SIM Card Phone Book.

I no longer have my 8100 so I cannot check this. My recollection is that this phone/OS4.2-4.5 does not have the capability to transfer Contacts to the SIM card.

Hmmm, I seem to remember having this capability on 4.5 on my Tour.

But maybe it's not available on the OS version on the OP's device. I didn't know that it wasn't available on earlier OS versions.

You could be right even so.

I have read several times in CrackBerry and on other sites that T-Mobile phones have different radio channels assigned and that these cannot be changed by OS tweaking.

What is sure is that T-Mobile and AT&T use different 3G channel frequencies. Here's a link UMTS frequency bands - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and two lines of data I extracted from a table therein

    IV 1700 AWS 1710–1755 2110–2155 1312 - 1513 additional 1662, 1687, 1712, 1737, 1762, 1787, 1812, 1837, 1862 1537 - 1738 additional 1887, 1912, 1937, 1962, 1987, 2012, 2037, 2062, 2087 USA (T-Mobile, Cincinnati Bell Wireless), Canada (WIND Mobile, Mobilicity, Videotron), Chile (VTR, Nextel)

    V 850 CLR 824 - 849 869 - 894 4132 - 4233 additional 782, 787, 807, 812, 837, 862 4357 - 4458 additional 1007, 1012, 1032, 1037, 1062, 1087 Americas (AT&T, Bell Mobility, Telcel, Telus, Rogers), Oceania (Telstra, Telecom NZ, Vodafone AU),Hong Kong(SmarTone-Vodafone[1])

Sorry it's such a mess but ya'll can see that the frequency numbers are different between AT&T and T-Mobile.

Your question remains however, can an AT&T phone "reach" T-Mobile's 3G frequencies. My belief is that it cannot but I'm in the UK and have no way to test this.
