For some reason, my blackberry pearl stopped sending pictures through MMS text 3 weeks ago? It give's me an "X" beside it. I also can't receive them? I have plenty of memory, and an unlimited data package from my cellular provider. I have the latest update for my blackberry. Can anyone help me?

The provider told me I might have to reinstall my firmware which means I might have to start everything over on my blackberry (i.e. pictures, applications, etc.)

Can anyone help? Does nayone else have that problem????

You should be able to create a backup file for your blackberry which saves everything you have ever changed or saved to your phone. Then you master clear everything and upload your info back to the phone. You can check with your provider to see if you have all the correct codes on your account, other than that I'm not sure.

there is a spot in the how to section of the forum this one is for backing up and updating software

this one is for backing up third party applications if they were to get deleted.

i would say if the provider said it was the phone then do the update should fix it, try a good old battery pull before.

Try the simple first. Delete your service books, options, advanced options, service book, menu key, delete. Then go up to host routing table, menu key, register. Your service books will be resent. Once you've received them, reset your BB, either with a soft boot app, or while the BB's on pull the battery, leave it out for 30 secs, and put it back in.
If that doesn't do the trick, you will have to reload your operating system. Follow these links, I'll post them in order:

Use Desktop Manager 4.6, though the temptation to use the latest, greatest can be overwhelming. Trust me!

When you first hook up to DM, it will prompt you to do a back up, do it. Make sure it backs up everything.

Erase your current system and data using one of these methods:

Get your new operating system here:

And follow my guide to success here:

it's written with the 8100 in mind, but will work just as well for your 8130
