    Altho they don't list carriers yet, they do have some really awesome colors shown here:
    BlackBerry - New BlackBerry PDA Smartphones - New Cell Phones & Smart Phones

    I really want the white one, like my first 8100. I just don't know if I can hold out buying one until they announce which carrier/s will sell the white one. The purple one rocks! Just a little too wild for me tho.

    And the official RIM 9100 page where you can jump to specs and such is here:
    BlackBerry - Pearl 2 - New BlackBerry Pearl 9100 Candybar Smart Phone

    Enjoy!

    I can't wait for this device to come out as I've had my pearl 8130 for almost 3 years and I've been patiently waiting for its successor. Has there been any word on a CDMA version for verzion/sprint?

    here are the released bands. did you ever consider going to tmo? less $ and the coverage is great in major cities - also very good support and instant transfer to rim for bes issues, etc if needed.

    Wireless Networks

    * Tri-band UMTS networks: (800/850)/1900/2100
    MHz and 900/1700/2100 MHz
    * Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks:
    850/900/1800/1900 MHz

    I do a lot of traveling and talking for work and I find that the best coverage is with Verizon (especially the rural areas in western PA). If I'm correct, Verizon uses the CDMA band, meaning for now the pearl will only be compatible with the companies that use the pearls supported bands (AT&T, tmobile)?

    Any educated guess on how long it will take RIM to release a CMDA compatible version? I did some research and the pearl 8130 came out almost a full year after it debuted for the tmobile network. Do you think this may hold true for the CDMA version of the 9100 series?

    you are right, verizon is the best for that. no clue re when they are going to have it - tmo seems to get them first for whatever reason. I think verizon is busy with the launch this week.

    I hope they offer more than silver this time around for Verizon. Black, white or the two tone red/black fusion look pretty cool IMO. We shall see...

    I noticed that if you go to the North American BB site, and look at the specs for the new Pearl, there is no mention of the 9105 with the T9 keyboard. Even the little picture of all the available colors all show the 9100 with the regular SureType keypad.

    But the "worldwide" version of the Pearl page shows both versions, gives specs that include the T9 keyboard input and all the color options at the bottom are shown with the T9 keypad.

    I guess that tells us who won't get the T9 9105.

    That's fine with me since I just want the 9100, but I thought that was interesting.

    but no colors.

    I love this phone! I hope this comes to Verizon ASAP. I really want the red/black one. I am a huge fan of the Pearl line and I love the SureType keyboard. I can upgrade in August and Im hoping Verizon will have it by then.

    My first BB was going to be a 8130 but I swayed for an 8330, then one week later I pre-ordered an S1.

    The 8130 was the device that first had me interested in BBs, I can't wait until VZW gets this, I will quickly revert back to BB then.
