    when i try to type in number, it won't allow me. when i press alt, the screen notification changes to NUM but won't type.... would reinstalling something with device manager fix this? any other ways? thanks

    try maybe holding the num while you type in the number...

    Probably not going to help.

    OP, do you mean if you try to type a number in a text message? Could we get a little more info to better help you.
