Where do you get such an update? Is it with the new OS?

Nevermind, went to sprint.com and figured it out. For anyone else as clueless as myself, you just dial *2 from you Blackberry and tell the CSR that you need a PRL update. They will do it for ya', but you have to call during "normal business hours".

Oh, and this is only a minor hijack seeing how a PRL is about the roaming towers... how do you switch the phone between Sprint Only and Roaming?

To see what version of PRL you have, dial #4357* and scroll down.

To switch your roaming preferences, go to Manage Connections/Mobile Network Options/Network Selection Mode

I think there's a newer version. I just remembered from my Windows Mobile days I had a website where I could download the PRL updates as it was far easier to use that site and manually update the PRL than it was to get it flagged and try to do it OTA... much higher success rate in the WM world the manual way . Anyway, according to that site, a 60711 version.

I dial that, but when I hit send, it starts placing a call and the voice on the other end tells me the number or code I dialed is incorrect. Unless this is significantly different than WM, I assume that instead of placing a call, it should bring up a window with status information in it.

I just did an online chat w/a Sprint rep and asked them to flag me for a PRL update. They did and I called *2 to get it update.... I now have 40411... which, strangely enough, doesn't even show up on that PRL page I linked to above.
