I'm very new to Blackberry so I hope this isn't a really lame question...how can I turn off the key beeps when dialing a number in the "Normal" profile on a BB Pearl Flip 8220?

I saw other posts for how to accomplish this with Curves and other models, but I can't even find those options...like the [Use once] option when you press the green call button, or the Options>Screen/keyboard.

Try going into your Advanced Options.

Best option is to set your "Quiet" profile the way you want your Normal profile set, then use that. With the quiet profile active, there are no key sounds at all.

Close: Options > Screen/Keyboard > Key Tone > Off

its off but still makes the noise whne dialing #s

The easiest way I use is :
Press and Hold the # key.
The profile switches to vibrator mode.

Once you finished your call, you can press and hold the # key and then it switches back to Normal profile.
