I just got my wife a red blackberry pearl 8110 about 3 weeks ago. Lately the phone resets/powers off on its own and i dont know what might be going on with it.
PLease if anyone has had this problem before and had it fixed i would like to know what you did to fix it.
This can be caused by a few things. Let's try a process of elimination.
If you have a Media Card installed, remove it for a while to see if this cure the problem.
Check Options, Status and read off the File Free number. You need a safe minimum of 12Mb for safe Blackberry running so divide the number there by 1 million.
Check that the SIM card is correctly seated. A poor connection here will really upset your phone.
The phone could be defective so since it is most likely under warranty if our fre simple checks don;t fix this, take it back to the shop and smile nicely.
