Not to sound like a ****** but what is the purpose of the PIN?! I've looked on the forums before and seen PIN listed under peoples profiles!? I can't figure it out!

PIN's are used to identify your individual Blackberry, sort of like a serial number. It's also used in the Blackberry Messenger and PIN messages.

It's also a way to communicate with other crackberry users without giving out your phone number.

Basically, it's the direct number to your Blackberry. You can send a message (SMS or MMS) using the other person's PIN. Or you can use Blackberry Messenger. To find your's, go to Options > Status.
