My 8120 pearl recently started giving me the chirping alert tone for no apparent reason? There is no email, text, weather alert showing up after, it just vibrates twice, gives the chirping sound and then nothing. Can't figure out how to turn it off? It does it a couple of times a day at random times.

Ok, figured out that is what I have set as the alert tone for browser. Why is it doing it when the phone is not being used? What is an alert tone for browser anyway?

The default Normal Profile for Browser is Mute in/out of holster.

Check to see if it has been reset to other then Mute.

Open Profile, scroll to the bottom and select Advanced... Choose your active Profile and open the Browser setting to correct the changes.

Why is there a Browser alert? Good question.
