Hey there I'm pretty new to the BlackBerry world and had a question. For some reason every 6 days or so, my pearl will delete all me sent and received texts. The only things it doesn't get rid of us e mail and pin messages. When this happens, I am unable to receive texts, they immediately disappear. If I take the battery out l it fixes the problem. But my old texts are lost.
Any advice?

You are low on memory. Go to Options > Status, and look at File Free. Anything less than 10mb is on the low side of things. Here are a few links with suggestions.
I had a similar problem, but it wouldn't be a set amount of days in a row or anything, if randomly loose all texts and emails except the first one, usually after a reboot or something, but I upgraded my 8100 to the new software and all seems good now so far

I received a text from t mobile with a link to where I would download it from, its on the blackberry site. I'm sure you could google something like 'blackberry software update' or something along those lines to find something. But I would also check out that whole freeing up your room if you only have 4 megs left.. Just in case its that

So I also have this problem...I have a 3gb HD and also a 2gb SD card... and I have NO music, ringtones, themes etc. Since purchase, I have installed two games, and routinely upload my pics to facebook (the one app I added) and delete them.
So I ask you two questions...where is my used memory allocated that is such a drain? Also... is there anyway to retrieve my lost texts? That is, the ones the never reach me because apparently my memory is full? Hard restart fails to do this. Who knows what thrilling, exciting, and more importantly distracting items it is deleting?
Unfortunately from what I know, themes are the only thing you can't store on your SD card if you want to be able to use them. You can "store" them as a back-up there but you can't access them and change them if you put them just on the SD card...poopie on BB for that lol
