If it's releasing in the next 10 days, it's already gone through FCC approval (including company-submitted SAR rating tests). This information is out there, I just can't find it.

yeah I was looking at the FCC site, and unless you have the ID# it's an impossible maze.
Even still. I don't think a phone with a high SAR rating is going to stop sales of said phone. Case in point: Bold 9700.
Yeah-- I hear you. Still.... I can't wait for something new to launch (maybe 9100 full qwerty or 9800 slider) with a lower sar rating. When it does-- I'm outa this 9700 in a flash. LOL :-). Seriously.

And btw phoneking.... I have a 3gs sitting on my desk. It still has the plastic on it. I've had it for months. The SAR rating to the head is something ridiculously low, like 0.27 or something like that. I just don't have the heart to leave my bb. LOL :-). Would really feel like a sellout! BUT ... One of therse days ... :-)

Other than my 3G signal dropping down to GPRS when on a call, I like my 9700. Looking to upgrade my fiancee's white 8520 to the white 9700 when it comes out (May 26th is the new rumored date, btw)...but eventually when the 9100 drops I'll get it for my phone collection, regardless of SAR ratings....

Hence is why my iPod touch compliments my 9700 on daily usage at work...
