They way I do it, I get a Q tip and damp it with rubbing alcohol and rub away. Many of us have different methods to cleaning it. Some even remove it but I don't have the guts to do that.
hi..i use a qtip dipped in water acually..i do this to clean my trackball about every 2-3 days and it keeps my pinkberry looking nice and shinny new..i also run the qtip over the keypad when it gets a little smuggy looking from my fingers
I would be very careful with any water other than distilled. You can easily cause liquid damage if the ball is still in the device. It is very easy to remove the silver retaining clip and remove the trackball. once you do that cleaning is much easier.
