    I decided to re-install the OS due to reboot and unread mail issues, during the OS re-install, the PC died and the process did not complete, now the pearl continually reboots??? Help..

    I remember there being a post with a similar problem back when I first joined, but I don't know where it is. I'm pretty sure they got it solved tho. If I can find it I'll let you know. In the mean time, good luck.

    This is what I've found so far. It's not the same issue, but I'm still looking. BTW, I know this may sound silly, but have you tried taking out the battery and sim?

    ditto here. I know exactly what the problem is. My problem is I don't have enough experience to just be able to tell you how to fix it. I'm still looking. More to come.

    I've done about all I can. I've gone thru about 3000 posts and I can't find anyone with the same specific problem. I gave you links to the 2 most relevant posts. Hopefully they will be of at least some use. My advice at this point would be to either hold out for someone with a bit more knowledge to post, or just take it to your local rep and have them look at it. If you can, try calling your provider's tech support. They might be able to help.

    I had the same prob...spent 3 hours on the phone with RIM... they had me completely wipe the phone (BB8100) and re-install everything. It didnt help. Apparently a hardware issue. They sent me a new one and I sent the defective one back.

    Apparently, its not that uncommon...they had a pre-set protocol to deal with the continuous reboots.
