I'm on O2 in the UK and awaiting an OS update. O2's website said it's due out in Jan-March 2008 then changed to April-May 2008, it's now July!!!

I rang O2 and they said they are awaiting the update from Blackberry. Question is could I download the latest update straight from Blackberry or will it cause me problems? I crashed my Berry once before but got it back, I don't wish to crash it again

You can install an OS from the BlackBerry site, you just need to delete the vendor.xml file.
