I was wondering if the OS versions for the 8120 and such would work for the 8100? ATT doesnt have the 4.2.2 version for the 8100 and to my understanding my phone would pair with the S9 headset if i have that paticular version or higher instead of 4.2.1

No if it says its for the 8120 then its for the 8120. Google your needed OS. You will find it, it may take a few hours but just keep looking.

Nooo, it wont. all you do(not sure if you have too) is just register the books to get the 2.5 BIS. If not already done. i always do it though, after a new OS install. Youll loose your contacts if you dont sync it to your PC. Its easy and fast. Just use your desktop manager. Dont be afraid to click and explore what your PC and Manager can do. Just Back Up your Phone. And no you wont loose your 3rd party apps either.

Sounds like that would have worked only if I had kept a data plan as far as the books go.
