Running 4.31.14 platform 2.7.0.13 on my 8100, can't youtube, and getting this error message when tring to use camera "uncaught exception; java.lang.nullpointer exception".
anybody got any clue what that is or how to fix it?
If you haavent noticed still new to this.

Youtube = can't do on the 8100, or at least very very difficult.

For the camera, try a battery pull reset, and try again.

Tried the battery pull, didnt help, also tried to uninstall and reinstall still nothing.

You are using a non-released, abandoned beta OS on your BB... you can't "hope" it to work. There is a reason that OS was abanonded a few months ago by RIM.

I didnt know it was abondoned, i downgraded( guess that is correct term) back to 4.2
Is there any offical os upgrades above the 4.2 for the 8100?

Not yet. RIM is working on 4.5. There is no word yet when it will be ready.

I am guessing you didn't download it from either an official carrier site or blackberry.com. Those two options are the only place you will find RIM and carrier certified Operating System releases... other places like rapidshare links and someone who drops you a link in an email or PM, I would not trust. Those are not official releases.
