The new Opera Mini 4.1 beta says it can put the web page in landscape mode:

" View pages in Landscape mode

To view the Web on a wider screen, just hit * # and flip your phone to the side to enjoy browsing in Landscape mode. Change your default view to landscape by turning �Landscape mode� on inside the Settings menu.** "

BUT, when I do this it just brings up an on-screen options menu w/ no landscape mode option. Also, there is no "turn landscape mode" on in the settings menu either. Has anyone gotten this to work? I am positive that I downloaded 4.1 because when I look at my application list it shows 4.1

I don't think this function is actually working for the blackberry as yet.

Yeah, I had the same reaction when I first downloaded it and then couldn't find the "landscape" viewing option.

In the fine print it says it "....is not yet available for the blackberry."
