    I know the download is free.

    For what to use the browser? It's just a browser if they wanted to charge you they would make you pay for the app.

    It is 100% free. All you need to pay is your data plan because it needs it to run.

    Do you have a data plan? It will work if you don't have a data plan but you will be paying per kilobyte used. If you have an unlimited data plan you can browse as much as you want. Using Opera Mini is free but to use the data service through your carrier isn't.

    Your Opera Mini use will be part of your data allowance from your BB data plan.

    When installing/running it you have to enter AT & T's TCP/APN settings.

    Do you have a Data Plan from AT&T? it's $29.99/mo. If you have that - then no, no additional monthly charge. If you don't have the data plan, then you will be charged per KB of data used on your BB.

    You're using a blackberry with no data plan anyway so it's probably you stay off the internet
