Is it just me or is the Flip not getting as much love as the other "new" blackberries get?

I dont think it ever will. The commercial had one line, "your **** is calling me again". At least you don't have to worry about that anymore! lol!

If this were a Harley Davidson forum and they came out with a crotch rocket, we'd be having this same conversation. There are those who like new, sexy designs; and there are those who stand by the unique yet boring style of the older models.

Nice but big girls need love too, i hate skinny girls.

I can understand the flip is not as big as say the 8900 or the Bold but you would expect the same or close the the kinda love they give to their other phones.

I like my Flip it will never beat my previous 8320 but it's close.

Yep, sure is ... but in THAT crowd, the not-so-hot girl ALWAYS puts out ! Just like my Flip compared to my Storm.

Compared to the regular Pearl, I like the Flip better. At least you don't hit the keypads accidentally like on the Pearl.

Studies showed that 60%-70% of cell phone users preferred a flip-phone more than any other phone. I think RIM just decided to make a flip-phone using the BlackBerry software so that they could reach that demographic and increase sales amongst those customers.

I think most BlackBerry users, however, do NOT prefer their BlackBerrys in a flip-phone fashion. So, it has not really taken off amongst BlackBerry enthusiasts.

ignorance. I don't get it. they seem to get some sort of sick satisfaction from it too. meh. it's a great device. less buggy and better battery life than my 8900. go figure.

I must say I like my 8220. I used to have a motorola razar. I must say it is a nice transition for me seeing as this is my first blackberry.

I guess RIM made the 8220 to give storm owners something to do while waiting for an OS that works lol

Less buggy? Of the 24 BlackBerry devices I've owned, the 8220 was by far the most buggy of the pack. And exceptionally laggy, to boot. With processors found in the Bold, 8900, etc., it's frustrating to have a phone that operates similarly to the original Pearl 8100.

I think the build materials and antiquated processor were the two things that killed the buzz with the 8220. I was a bit shocked, though - it seems to be a perfect entry to an emerging BlackBerry market (first-time owners, women, etc.).
