Alright I seriously have no idea where to plot this thread, so I'm doing it here and praying for the best.
Its my first post, HI! I've known of CrackBerry for some time now, but haven't gotten any further with it, till now, among other reasons ^.^
I got a 8100 Pearl from T Mobile, which has been unlocked, and current Wi Provider is ATT.
My Key Question: Does it matter what firmware I download?

Nope, as long as the firmware is for the 8100. It won't matter which carrier firmware you use. Only the model number is important.

If your worried about the carrier's firmware, follow these steps.

    1. Download and install the latest version of Desktop Manager
    2. Donwload OS and install it to the PC.
    3. Delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader (this step is necessary any time an OS is installed from a different carrier than what is branded on the BB.)
    4. Plug in BB and open Desktop Manager. You should be prompted to upgrade.
