hey i just updated the firmware, thanks, and i just bought a tmobile blackberry 1820 and its still locked. i've tried everything short of paying, and was wondering if you by any chance new the unlock code for the phone, or the network MEP code. i'm basically trying to use my cingular sim card, but it says invalid sim card cuz the frequency is still locked, and i called tmobile and they said i need an account with them. so is there anyway you can help me out? please email me at o0crazyone0o at gmail.com. thanks man.
If you are a T-Mobile Customer, you can call Customer Service and ask them for the Unlock code. They will email it to you with instruction included.

I flashed my 8120 with 4.5.0.161 a few days ago then noticed this one - but trying .162 gives me a message saying the device software is newer than that in the update. Right enough, .161 reports as Platform 2.7.0.105 and .162 as 2.7.0.103.

    Anyone else get that issue?

    Thanks,

    Alan.

I had that message, but installed .162 anyway. Seems to be faster than .161. Had a few random crashes but that's been over a period of weeks

I don't use my 8120, but thought I'd update the OS anyway.

4.5.0.255 is the latest one it's giving me, on Vodaphone via the Blackberry.com website.

To roll back to an older OS follow the instructions here:

How To Downgrade Your BlackBerry's Operating System | CrackBerry.com

However, the most recent official OS for the 8120 is 4.5.0.255 which you can download directly from https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...356FCC56D801D1

Make sure you delete the Vendor.xml file before installing to your handset.

I'm gonna check it out, hopefully it's more stable than .162 and it's stupid random crashes.
