For install instruction to load any carrier 8120 OS on your BB:

    1. Download desired OS to your PC
    2. Install/run OS to PC
    3. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader (dont need to if your on At&t)
    4. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
    5. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

Just installed it! Seems to be ok... thanks much! I'm guessing this will be the last update for the 8120 since all the other Pearl updates are capping out at version .161

I am on Sprint. Is 0.138 the latest OS? I understand that 0.161 is not for Sprint, as per the comments. Can I install it anyway? Anybody in SprintLand try this?

you know, i couldn't do it from my computer at home. i did it the exact same way at work and it worked. never did figure out why it didn't work at home. so far so good... nothing really different about it. file free improved a bit. no crashes yet.

I tried upgrading to the .162 and all was well except my phone kept resetting itself. Now my phone has died. I've started a thread about it below.
