For install instruction to load any carrier 8110 OS on your BB:
1. Back up data on Desktop Manager under Back up/restore option
2. Back up your 3rd party apps. Instructions here--> http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...cations-53201/
3. Disconnect your BB from Desktop Manager
4. Download desired OS to your PC
5. Install/run OS to PC
6. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
7. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
8. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.
So far so good. No real noticeable change from .55. I'm having a terrible battery drain however. Charged overnight and had to plug up by 3PM. Not sure yet if its the os or the new google maps street view I loaded and played with for about 15 min.

Google maps street view must have been the battery killer. Much better today. I had an entry in options that said OTA updates. I ran it yesterday and it said no updates found, and now it's gone? The only thing thats bugging me is on my go to screen in the browser, It use to have a search entry right under the address bar. Thats gone and it was pretty convenient. If any one knows how to get that back, let me know.
Got 4.5.0.69 rel 92 installed. I'm noticing the same types of changes that I noticed when I upgraded my 8310 - moderately snappier app loading/performance, video recording, and general quickness. I'm not noticing any unusual battery drain, but I've only been using it for around an hour, so we'll see.
Hey thanks guys your explanation on how to install the new OS worked fine for me just finished and everything is looking good now to find those 4.5 only themes which were off limits
