I just got my 8130 and love it. However, I think I have some unnecessary apps running in my background. First, how do I check to see what is running? Second, how do I turn the app off if it is running?

Press and hold alt, press escape and keep alt pressed. That will show what's running. Some will always show up - browser, phone, BB messenger and others. When you exit an app, hit menu and scroll to close. Best way to close.

Hold Shift key (2 arrows) and hit the back key (escape). This will bring up any running application, then hit menu & close.

Reapeat this until you have closed them all.

You can not close them all... As Chaz said, Browser-BBMessenger-Call Log-Messages-Home Screen should always be open, you can close any others by Menu>Close.
