New Pearl owner questions

I just got given a Blackberry Pearl 81xx from a friend of mine and had two questions.

1. How do I find out which 81xx version of the Pearl I have?
2. Is there an easy way to clear off all the crap its former owner had on it?

1. Go to options>about>it will tell you the name there.
2. Go to options>security options>general settings>hit menu button>wipe handheld
