I have a Blackberry Pearl 8130 from Alltel/Verizon... I love the device (after using an iPhone for a short while), but it does give me problems every now and then. For the most part, the device works great... but sometimes it will freeze (Hour glass will come up...) or go extremely slow (Hour glass will come up, and eventually go away...). I've run Memory Cleaner, uninstalled all of the extra languages (and some programs I didn't need)... no extra video, ringtones... I have those on my 4GB microSD card.

Try a battery pull every now and then. Do you have any extra themes? Are you fully closing out of your apps?

What is your file free memory at? Go to options>status and post that number...

I wonder which extra languages were deleted. I know some of them like latin font are necessary.
