The MP3 player on my AT&T 8100 is extremely lame; no Playlists, no random function. Yes, I have looked at Berrytunes (feature deprived junk) and XPlayer (unstable junk). Is there any hope of installing the MP3 player software from the 8120 or 8130 onto an 8100? Will I have to wait for AT&T to do something or can I do it myself?

Try Flipside. Very slick user interface, playlist support.
