I have the 8100 and would love to have the 4.5 OS on the Rogers network. But I talked to a tech guy and he said that I would have to unlock my phone then update it and then put it back onto the rogers network. Is there an easier and cheaper way of doing it????

You don't need to unlock to stay on the same network.
