I've had my BB Pearl 8100 for a little less than a year and was curious about media cards. Do I need a media card? If so, what size? Will a card increase my memory? Where do I get them? Do they have to be formatted or anything? I guess I really need a tutorial on media cards.
If you are planning on putting music on you device, or take lots of pictures, you should get a media card. The TMo 8100's do not have all that much memory capacity, and when your available memory drops below 12,000,000, it will start doing things like automatically deleting messages to try and free up memory. You can purchase memory cards at the TMo retail stores, I think the largest one you can get for your Pearl is a 2GB. They do not need formatting.
