    my moto bluetooth headset (hs850 if it matters) used to sound pretty good when paired with my old RAZR, but now that i have a pearl now, i find the sound quality of the headset is dramatically worse.

    could there be a reason for this? thanks

    Could be a bad initial sync. Delete the partnership and re-sync.

    I just had this same problem. Go to your bluetooth setup and go to the device properties. Make sure encryption is turned off.
