I installed new software that was sent to me by blackberry. they told me it would fix the problem i was having with my picture messaging. once i installed the software, though, all i get when i try to turn the phone on is a blank white screen with a small image in the center of a cassette tape-looking image with a circle, square and triangle inside it...the cassette has a circle around it with a slash through it. it wont turn on at all! i have tried holding down the red "off" key, i have tried removing the battery, i have tried everything. Does anyone know what is going on?

Is there a number, too? Like 507? Bottom line is, you'll have to do it again, i.e. reinstall the OS...

The update the service provider had you do, was it not a reload of the operating system?

    Anyway:

    1. download the OS from service provider...
    2. Install it on the PC...
    3. delete vendor.xml...
    4. Open Desktop Manager (DM)...
    5. Connect the BlackBerry...
    6. The PC & DM should see it, and begin the install...
