I recently added a 4GB card to my BB Pearl 8130 to use it as an MP3 player. I added some content, and suddenly the battery is discharging VERY quickly. I am quite sure that I closed out of the program correctly. In three hours of the phone being fully charged and not being used (I was sleeping) the battery was down to 75%. The new use of the MP3 player is the only thing that has changed.

    Any advice or insight? Thanks!

Hmmm strange. I have 8GB card in mine and i use the MP3 player daily. My battery doesn't drain that fast when not in use, only when I'm listening to it.

Shouldnt be the card .. Wouldn't be the mp3 player if your closing it out after use... It could be a memory leak on your phone I would upgrade your os what are you running at the moment?

How can I tell? It's a brand new phone, I've had it about a month and a half. If I go to Wireless Upgrade, it says that there are no new updates available.

Does v4.5.0.160 or 3.4.0.41 mean anything? That is what I see when I go into OPTIONS - ABOUT.
