    Can anyone tell me how to convert an mp3 audio file I have into a format that I can use as a ringtone?

    You do not need to convert. Your Pearl should play mp3s as ringtones.

    Step 1 - save mp3 file onto your phone (or MicroSD card).

    Step 2 - under Profiles, change the Phone Tone by selecting Browse from the list and locating your mp3.

    You may want to cut down your mp3 file to a resonable length, but that is all you need to do.

    How do you cut it down? And would it be a disaster to my memory or anything if i just left the Mp3 untouched...

    See this is amazing to me lol, i have been with verizon and to have anykinda ring tone ended up costing me like 3 dollars, now i can do it myself???? Amazing...
