If I am carrying on a conversation with someone in BBM my phone doesn't ring. It goes straight to V-mail. Why is this? It probably happens other times than just when I'm using BBM but this is when I've noticed here lately. Any ideas or solutions?

I don't use bbm enough to have the experience to answer from that perspective, but I have noticed when I've been on a telecon for an hour, that I don't receive emails while on the phone. I think that is characteristic of CDMA BlackBerries. It may also explain why bbm interferes with receiving phone calls, if you are using a CDMA device.
