Hello all, i'm somewhat new here and have learned quite abit in the last couple of weeks..... i have one question on the sd cards, are they just for storing things you put on them or does the blackberry itself use the sd card also???? i purchased a 2gig card, do i just plug it into the blackberry and it will read from there or does the card have to be formated first???

no need to format it, just stick it in and start saving

The sd card is basically for your media manager. To save music, ringtones, videos, and pictures.

You can also save whatever you want on it then plug in the Usb cable and bingo you have a quick and easy drive that you always have with you. Think of it as a multi function flash drive.
