    I can't figure out how to set it so when I receive text messages it plays a ring tone, can anyone help?

    Go to "Profiles", "Advanced", make sure your current profile is selected and click on "BlackBerry Icon" and choose "Edit".
    Scroll through the list to edit tones for SMS or MMS or anything else you desire.
